GENERAL Manager Kevin Batty believes our award-winning apprenticeship and training scheme deserves to be recognised for its success after scooping a prestigious accolade.

Designed to celebrate world-class Yorkshire manufacturing companies and the global products they sell; Paragon Toolmaking were nominated for two categories at the prestigious black-tie event, held at the Hilton Hotel in Leeds.

Apprentice Jay Malone was shortlisted in the Apprentice of the Year category in recognition of his excellent contributions and future potential.

And we were thrilled to be receive the Manufacturing Apprenticeship / Training Scheme Award after seeing our commitment to apprenticeships and upskilling staff recognised by the judges.

Reflecting on the success, General Manager Kevin Batty said: “It was a pleasure to accept the award on behalf of all our great team members who put their time and effort into making our apprentice program a success.

“As a company we believe that an apprenticeship is the best route into our business as it provides all of our employees with the core skills and understanding of the toolmaking process.

“Whilst Jay Malone was unsuccessful in the Apprentice of the Year Award, we are extremely proud of his achievement in being shortlisted. Jay is showing great potential and is already an asset to the business.”
